As for any creative work, the notion of copyright applies to the work of teh designers of foldings. These rights apply to any part of teir creation: - the design of a model, - the diagrams, crease patterns, photo-diagrams or videos realized by the designer or his representative, - the photographs when they are signed. One cannot forget the derivative products which use all or part of the elements of a creation. Some examples: - of course, you can fold published models. You cannot sell your folding without the permission of the designer. - of course, you can use a published diagram or crease pattern. You cannot sell or distribute it without the permission of their author. - if you wish to teach a model, it is common courtesy to ask the designer for permission.
