Tesselations
The folding of tessellations (french: pavage) appeared about twenty years ago. A tessellation is done by folding a single sheet, no gluing, no cutting! We are even entitled to two tessellations for the price of one: the tessellations represented by the fold pattern (tiling in the mathematical sense of the term) and the resulting tessellation, which shows a basic pattern (sometimes 3D) repeated as many times as possible. A few hours of folding and voila!
