Create regular polygons |
Regular polygons are widely used for folds in the decoration or flowers category. Several methods exist to obtain one or the other of these polygons. Watch, for example, the video 2 Ways to Make a Hexagon by Leyla Torres. The differences are the number of folds to be made, the size of the result (which is the maximum polygon that can be obtained), the ease of folding the shape and the degree of approximation of the solution. There are therefore parochial quarrels on the question, in which we will not enter! Documents to download only offer one method. If you wish, or out of curiosity, browse the net for other methods. Try them all, it's pretty funny! Only the most used polygons are gathered here: - download the document « Créer un triangle équilatéral », the simplest being to use a rectangle instead of a square! - Download the « Créer un pentagone régulier » document, a regular polygon that is easy to obtain and has a kind of intrinsic beauty. - download the document « Créer un hexagone régulier », a polygon widely used to make rosettes or tessellations. - download the document « Créer un octogone régulier ». It's the easiest to do. Each of these folds requires a lot of precision, including cutting! |
